Artists @ Work, April 3 -June 9, 2019
The lives of artists – their training, working methods and professional careers are examined in this exhibition drawn from several private collections and the Town of Halton Hills Collection. Works by Canadian painter, Clara Harris (1887 – 1975) on special loan will bring focus to the challenges historically faced by women artists. The exhibition also features work by historic and contemporary artists including J.W. Beatty, Frank Black, Philip Surrey, Sonja Mortimer and Eduarda Sousa.
Reception and exhibition talk on Sunday April 28 at 2 p.m. in the Helson Gallery Verna McLean, Curator, Clara Harris Collection, and Judy Daley, Helson Gallery Curator will discuss the exhibition. Free and open to the general public.
