Town Gets On Board with "Community Better Challenge"

Your business can help Halton Hills be named Canada's Most Active Community later this spring.  ParticipACTION's Community Better Challenge is a brand new annual physical activity challenge that rallies Canadians coast-to-coast to sit less and move more together.

ParticipACTION is calling all Canadians to get active and incorporate physical activity where they live, work and play. Organizations (including your corporate health and wellness committee) can apply for a grant before March 1 to receive between $250-$1000 to help plan and promote an activity during the Challenge period in May/June.  What a great way to bring your employees together with a healthy break from all that screen time (or bit a friendly competition between departments!)

Interested business can connect with the Town's Recreation & Parks Department for further information and ideas on how to participate, by contacting Margaret Taylor, Active Living Coordinator at MargaretT@haltonhills.ca or 905-873-2601 x 2360.
