In September, 2020 The Town of Halton Hills secured a $12,500 grant from Digital Main Street as part of ongoing efforts to support the local business community and expedite economic recovery in Halton Hills. Read the official media release and article.

As part of Halton Hills’ Digital Main Street program, the Town’s Digital Service Squad (DSS) member worked with local main street businesses for 10 weeks to expand and improve their online presence, as well as assisted them with an application for a $2,500 Digital Transformation Grant, offered through the Ontario BIA Association (OBIAA).

On February 1, 2021, The Town of Halton Hills Council approved a motion that called on the Provincial and Federal Governments to provide further funding for the Digital Main Street Program and to expand the program criteria to provide support to businesses outside of the existing criteria.
