Reminder to Businesses - Halton Region's Medical Officer of Health Instructions are Still in Effect

Jun 30, 2021

Ontario is now in Step 2 of the Province’s Roadmap to Reopen.  Step 2 of the Roadmap focuses on the resumption of more outdoor activities and limited indoor services with small numbers of people where face coverings are worn, with other restrictions in place. For retail uses, this includes, but is not limited to:

  • Essential and other select retail permitted at 50 per cent capacity;
  • Non-essential retail permitted at 25 per cent capacity; and
  • Stores in shopping malls open

There are two sets of instructions issued by Halton Region’s Medical Officer of Health that remain in effect.

The first are instructions for businesses and organizations, including retail stores and shopping malls that provide additional measures to keep staff and patrons safe. The instructions include direction for businesses and organizations on adherence to capacity limits, physical distancing and wearing of masks.

The second are instructions for organizations and businesses with actions to take if you become aware that a worker at your workplace has COVID-19.
