The Town of Halton Hills is releasing its 2022 Invest Halton Hills Annual Report, which serves as a reflection upon and highlight of various economic development and tourism initiatives and accomplishments over the course of a challenging, but highly productive, year.
At the conclusion of 2022, 59% of the 137 strategic actions from the Economic Development and Tourism Strategy (2021-2026) had been completed, with 30% of actions in progress and 11% of actions left. While completion and initiation of the strategic actions one year into the strategy demonstrates the Town's dedication to a robust economic development work plan, it should also be noted that several of the initiatives are on an on-going basis.
In the report, other highlighted programs and actions include:
- New Invest Halton Hills website
- Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) trade mission
- Business Concierge Program current projects
- Launch of the new Community Improvement Plan (CIP)
- Digital Main Street program success
- Increased Visit Halton Hills marketing and tourism initiatives
- Highlight of on-going business supports and initiatives such as, but not limited to, workforce development and small business engagement
The 2022 Invest Halton Hills Annual Report demonstrates that Halton Hills is open for business and continues to be showcased as a prime investment destination. Through Invest Halton Hills' full suite of business incentives and supports, the team works to ensure business success and growth. At 59% of actions completed, significant progress has been made in implementing the Economic Development and Tourism Strategy and by advancing these strategies and initiatives, Halton Hills will continue to enhance the economic resiliency and diversification of the Town.
