"With the recent news from this weekend on tariffs and trade changes announced by President Trump, I want to acknowledge how these developments could affect our local business community. Our businesses, including manufacturers and entrepreneurs, rely on open and fair trade. Disruptions to the free flow of goods can lead to challenges. While the future remains uncertain, I want to assure the community that your Town Council is paying very close attention to this issue We are focused on supporting and continuing to engage with our businesses through these challenging and unpredictable times. As we navigate this together, I encourage you to look for Made in Canada products and to support local businesses, by shopping local whenever possible."
